I am a female Obstetrician and Gynaecologist working at Prince of Wales Private Hospital, Randwick, in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs. I have cared for women for over 25 years and worked in private practice for over 18 years at POWPH. I am a specialist examiner for the Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. I supervise specialists in training and UNSW medical students. I am on the POWPH Obstetric Department Committee, and until recently, I was the chair, working closely with my obstetric and midwifery colleagues to facilitate optimal care for women at POWPH. I have a Masters in Health Leadership and Management. I look forward to meeting you and managing with you, your pregnancy or helping with your gynaecological concerns.
I am delighted that Jane Nelson has now joined my practice. Jane has many years of medical administration experience and previously worked at one of Sydney’s leading women’s ultrasound practices.
Jane is a dedicated mother of two and is passionate about helping provide our patients with a high standard of care within a supportive and nurturing environment.
Carolyn’s experience as a midwife and lactation consultant spans more than 35 years and we are privileged to have her on our team. Carolyn will be available to you in Suite 15 for both postnatal lactation assistance and antenatal advice as a part of the obstetric care package with Dr. Shaw.
